| | Bird deterrent Just letting off steam! My neighbour has installed some ribbons just above the fence that bounce around in the wind to scare off the birds. Mounted on 6ft canes it blows over every day.He seems determined not to let the birds get to his prize winning dandelions as this and grass are all he has in the garden. Whilst understanding he may be frightened of birds(sparrows give a nasty nip you know) I can't help thinking he didn't ought to have bought a house between two avid bird lovers, next to a canal and fields and it might help if he took the nuts off his own bird table! This man is a teacher and I wonder what they teach kids in school about nature and the environment these days.Any way the birds totally ignore his efforts ,particularly the woodpigeons which help knock it over!Got to go now to put a new feeder out to add to the others!
Got that off my chest. |

| | | Re: Bird deterrent lol welcome to WAB shenk. Maybe your neighbour saw too many Hitchcock films as a lad eh ? At least it doesn't appear to be having too much of an impact on the local birds
