| | | Corncrakes One of the 1st sightings in my area by my best friend the other day. He was only a dew yards away and also heard it. The reason I'm posting this is that I phoned my friend chris rollie (rspb officer) and he was very interested in this sighting as they are carrying out a detailed survey on them this year. Appreciate to hear any other sightings or calls that have been heard this year so I can inform him. |

| | | Re: Corncrakes What area was that? I know they are spreading on the Western Isles, where I usually holiday. I've yet to see one, but I was camping on the island of Tiree in June this year and heard quite a few. Including one that was about 5 feet from my tent who called from 11pm to 4am both nights I was camped there.
I put all my bird sightings on the BTO Birdtrack website, and I think the survey will pick up any sightings from that. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
