| | | Isn't she lovely? At the risk of making everyone hum Stevie Wonder all evening, I just had to post this pic of little Penny Wren who lives in the NatureCounters woodwork shop and whom I wrote about in BirdOfTheDay a couple of days ago, and say ... Isn't she lovely?
She doesn't even bother waiting for me to leave the workshop before she comes in to feed her chicks now, and she struck this pose for me in between feeding them and popping back to take away a faecal sack.
Even the name is lovely Troglodytes troglodytes... |

| | | Re: Isn't she lovely? Lovely shot Biomotors, aren`t those brown feathers beautiful when seen close up. I had a stunned one last year (it hit the door) that recovered, the variation of browns was incredible. The name `wren` comes from the olden times `wrenne` and means little tail...Bob
