Crow Droppings

I took these pics this afternoon, are crows droppings always in a fecal sac, or does it mean this is a juvenile bird. I've included the first pic as it shows that the bird wasn't carrying the sac. (Pics are consecutive, shot in sport mode)

Excellent photos, but no, crow poop doesn't come in a fecal sack after the early nestling stage.

What you have beautifully captured in your second image is just the formation of the optimal shape for a liquid dropping under gravity through our atmosphere ... just as rain forms droplets, so too does crow poop (at that height).

If you get underneath it, you'd quickly discover that it's generally the consistency of a thick cream or custard ... though not so nice on strawberries.

Thanks for the reply, luckily I wasn't directly under this one. Living by the sea though there are bigger dangers.... gulls, not that I'm complaining, the sight and sound of gulls is home for me.
