| | | Unidentified slim bird in the Lake District Hi folks, my friend David Iliff took this photo of a bird a few days ago while hiking in the Lake District. Would someone be able to ID it for us, please?
Thanks! |

| | | Re: Unidentified slim bird in the Lake District I'm not sure so I'm subscribing to the thread I would be tempted to say Skylark, but it has no crest, so I'm confused.

| | | Re: Unidentified slim bird in the Lake District It's a Skylark. The crest isn't always visible or erect, Hedgie.

Thank you all for your quick responses! Dave said this bird played a game of cat and mouse with him for a while, and he found it at the summit of Catbells ( Catbells - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).
Shame it had its mouth too full to sing for him.
Anyway, thank you again! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
