| | | My Tern now I promise not to exhaust an, already over used pun . I took a trip to a place near me where Common Tern were nesting as i have, as far as i know ( my favourite phrase) never seen this species before, and i was not disappointed, what a magnificent bird and they performed perfectly for me
Just a few as a tasterbut there are plenty more on my flickr photostream here Flickr: sleipnerofasgard's Photostream
enjoy

| | | Re: My Tern now Lovely shots and acrobatic birds. Do they take ducklings? We get them flying along the river, especially when the Mallards are about with their young.

| | | Re: My Tern now Nice! I love Terns - used to work on a Little Tern colony and now work where we have a good colony of Commons, so definite fondness for them.
They are having a very successful breeding season so far this year at our colony - highest number of nests ever and of young ringed ever and they ain't finished yet! Anyone else noticed this? |
