| | | Re: Cuckoo Those are brilliant Gaza! I would give an arm and a leg to get shots like that (well not literally) as I haven't even seen a cuckoo before. I'm very jealous |

| | | Re: Cuckoo Cheers Guys
As you can imagine, I was quite excited myself, having also never seeing one properly and as close as this
When i turned up to see it, there were three of us. When the Cuckoo showed,
I have never heard so many cameras clicking. On turning around. There must have been twenty plus long lens's stood behind us |

| | | Re: Cuckoo Those are lovely shots,I am sooo jealous
I have been watching cuckoos this year by the sea wall. There are reed warblers nesting over there and am sure that eggs were laid by the cuckoos in a few of their nests.Have seen both male and female cuckoos but alas not near enough to get a decent photo.
The one time I would have got a really good shot was when I was standing under a tree a few hundred metres from the sea wall waiting for a cuckoo to come into view. You can guess of course a cuckoo was sitting above me and I only knew about it when it cuckoo'd before flying off!!!

| | | Re: Cuckoo Well done! Excellent photos.
Such a difficult bird to get close to. Very easily spooked. The only sightings I've ever had is of them flying off into the distance the second they've spotted me. |
