| | Golden Eagle Killed I was very sad to hear another Golden Eagle had been killed, poisoned by bait Some people just don't care about the damage they do. The RSPB: Golden eagle killed |

| | | Re: Golden Eagle Killed disgusting- there are some good well managed estates in Scotland but there remain some with very bad records on bird of prey poisoning etc. Stronger sentances needed, but proving who did it is difficult for the police, even though the Scottish wildlife police are very good at investigating these incdents. |

Meaningful looks will be exchanged and a derisory fine imposed that will be made up in the gamekeeper's wage packet the following week!

| | | Re: Golden Eagle Killed doubley saddened by the fact it was found in glen orchy, which is mostly owned by forestry commission scotland, where i occassionally worked, and i find it hard to believe that any of the neighbouring estates would stoop so low as to poison a golden eagle. however according to the article dated yesterday it is only believed to be poisoned. i'll wait for the final result before i make any judgement.

| | Re: Golden Eagle Killed Perhaps this was a indirect kill, It may have been intended for rats etc and the bird ate it or is this not possible, I know nothing at all about eagles but i have been around game keepers a lot in the past and i know how much trouble they will go to protecting their birds for shooting, what with snares and poison etc, aland |

| | | Re: Golden Eagle Killed BBC News has it as confirmed as a poisoning with insecticide by Strathclyde Police. Could it possibly be accidental poisoning with insecticide? I know there are several estates that are notorius for persecution - are any near Glen Orchy?
Having recently been hearing about the persecution of Goshawk in this area, I am getting really sick of this stuff. |
