One of life's magical experiences.

Had a lot of rain here last night. Still overcast, sun doing it's best to get through, a slight fresh breeze - one of those perfect early summer mornings. My desk faces a window so i sit about three feet from it. The left hand opening of the window is held open on horizontal stay, which is about eye level.
Just had a Goldfinch come and peck at the window - nothing unusual about but it had the decency to hop along and come and sit on the window stay, effectively inside the house. it sat there for about 10 secs admiring the scene and then flew off with it's mate.
I had just been considering setting up my camera on a tripod to focus on some red hot pokers that the blue tits and Great tits keep coming too - perhaps I will now (it might be the sign of a good day.)

These are the sort of moments that makes life such a joy, thanks for sharing it (I'm pretty envious too, as goldfinches are one of my favourite birds ... and can't seem to encourage them into this garden as I have done in previous gardens )

Hope he comes back if you set up your camera

Magic moments. Birds can just do the strangest things eh? One minute you can't get near them for love nor money the next they hop up within a few feet.
