I've just realised that just about every post I've made on here so far has been a terrible photo of a common bird which I have miserably failed to identify  So to balance things out...a couple of reasonable photos of some very compliant Red Kites near Henley. Fantastic birds...    |

Those are brilliant shots Kro . Red Kite's are still one of my must see birds (they still elude me so far), I'm thinking I'm going to have to make a trip to Gigrin Farm! |

There are actually surprisingly large numbers of these in the Henley area, so if you find yourself down that way ever it's worth a trip. In a couple of hours of walking we must have seen 20 or more of them - OK, it's not quite Gigrin Farm, but still felt like a large number for a bird which was so rare. |
