Smile Another id please
This bird has been resident around our gardens for the last couple of weeks ,preying on young sparrows etc. Could someone please identify for me. Many thanks.

Yes its a Musket, it looks like you got pretty close. They seem to be on the increase. Rescued 4 up to date this year, one even got its self trapped in a bathroom though most seem to crash into patio doors.

Thanks for your replies . Yes got quite close to it . It didnt seem to mind much just kept on eating. My wife caught it eating a sparrow 3 feet from our back door too. We do seem to have a glut of young birds around here this year .Nice sight to see in the garden anyway.
