I always thought Buzzards survived on small mammals, is this normal behaviour?

I saw a Buzzard in the Forest of Dean, towards the end of last summer, perched on a wooden gate with a snake hanging from its beak. It seemed in no hurry to eat the thing, although interestingly the snake wasn't moving - so the Buzzard had presumably killed it, or perhaps it was already deceased. |

We watched as a fox crossing a salt-marsh, heading for the woods, was mobbed by crows at Newtown Creek, here on the Island a couple of summers ago. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
