I'm sure I heard one last week in Merseyside, never seen one.
Has anyone else heard/seen them this year? |

Only one, about a month or so back and then he only called on two occasions in about 5 minutes.

I have heard two in my region. One at Sence Valley in Ibstock (Leicestershire), and another at the nature reserve in Swepstone. |

Male and Female at Paxton Pits (Huntingdonshire) showing really well.
Have heard them at most of my local patches. |

I saw two a couple of days ago at the edge of our local coniferous wood. Thought they were Sparrowhawks at first until one landed on a branch.

hi, my friends and i went to cannock chase , staffordshire on may 25th and did some birding. we heard a cuckoo but did not see it . we hung around watching the trees from where we heard it hoping it would fly out but saw nothing. sue  | | | |
