Numbers have HS have been in freefall and continues to dive. Recent breeding bird surveys show in London (originally their urban stronghold) the population declined by a massive 68% between 1994 and 2007!!
The RSPB has just been awarded over £160,000 to run some trials over the next three years in the London metro area.
'My own' House Sparrow pair do not seem to have bred this year sadly. |

'My own' House Sparrow pair do not seem to have bred this year sadly. | Sadly, i believe the same as happened to me. It's a shame because i adore this species and would absolutely hate for it to be a rarity. |
