White dove / white homing pigeon

Recently, i've had either of the two in my garden and they have became very fond of me (not flying off when i go outside). But today have noticed that the male has been collecting twigs from my garden and flying off. Is it usual for them to nest so late?

Pigeons will nest 12 months of the year given the right conditions. So, no it's not too late
