| | | Woodpecker First time i've managed to get a half decent view and shot of a woodpecker.
Shots are a bit blurry because i could get a shutter speed fast enough. |

| | | Re: Woodpecker Hello all,
I have just started getting interested in wild birds and put up a feeding station outside my kitchen window last week. ( Rural West Wales). At 8pm on day 4 a friend commented on the great spotted woodpecker feeding on the peanuts. We were very excited but sadly have not seen him since.
Do woodpeckers often visit feeders and might he come back at the same time of day in the future or is thier feeding more random.
I think your photos are great but sadly i havn't a decent camera myself to try and catch pics of birds yet. In fact i'm still struggling to identify most of the visitors with any certainty.
Heres to learning more....
Any advice very welcome. Thank you. |

| | | Re: Woodpecker They do often return on a daily basis, sometimes at a similar time, but no guarentees with wildlife. There should also be juvenile birds dispersing- these have red crowns in Greater-spotted Woodpeckers- so these may just be passing.
Good luck with your visitors! |
