| | | Re: Holly tree berries? I had a lone Redwing last winter eating the berries on a small (ish) Holly tree I have in my garden! It hung around for a few days until it had almost depleted the berries! I was pretty chuffed I can tell you! |

| | | Re: Holly tree berries? They do, but I found that my mistle thrushes prefer rowan, hawthorn and various other garden bushes first, only coming to my holly when all else had been used up later in the year!
pecking order for berries then!

Besides let the birds find them themselves, we can't make life too easy for them!  Seriously, leave them on the tree and sit back and wait for the birds to arrive and enjoy viewing the birds, that's what I do! |

No, leave it to nature. Have a bit of patience as they may last well into spring. Meanwhile just enjoy the colour. |

Although, i've had this tree for many years and i always hear the birds cherping away inside but year after year the berries on the outside of the bush never seem to get eaten. Maybe this is because i don't have the birds that eat these berries in my area? |
