Great minds think alike, Tobermorey!
Do you have Blackbirds in your area, HDM? I would be surprised if you haven't any, they will certainly enjoy the berries especially if it is a cold winter/spring! |

The berries are forming well on my Holly tree again so I am hoping for another Redwing or maybe a Fieldfare will find it's way to my garden next winter, then again the Blackbirds give as much pleasure! |

| | | Re: Holly tree berries? Mistle thrushes, redwings, fieldfares and blackbirds decimate my holly berries in a twinkling, usually after the first frost. They then perch in the fruit trees, and deposit seeds which grow into little holly trees. I have given my sister about 50 to plant in her field hedge to stop the sheep nibbling the young plants. |
