Please could someone ID this bird
At first I thought it was a chaffinch but there was somethin a bit different about the beak .. but I may be mistaken as it was a long way off.. Apologies for quality of photos but they have been heavily cropped plus taken hand held with a 500mm lens..
It was feeding from the gorse but i am not sure what it was eating .. i think it was insects as there are no seeds on the gorse yet..

It's a female Chaffinch - white wing bars more distinctive on your 2nd shot.

Sure is. There will be plenty of weevils, spiders + numerous other invertebrates to feed on.
