At College I saw two blue tits flying in and out of a hole in the top of this lamppost! What a place for them to be nesting    |

Nice and safe from predators! I've seen Great Tits nesting in a similar piece of roadside furniture. |

Reading through the threads about birds I would say at least it won't be cut down, have a hedge cutter put over it, be moved and safe from cats.
Gives you something to watch when you are at college to!!

Great spot!
On springwatch they showed a pair that had nested in a cigarette but box at a pub! My dad said a pair did this at work last year. |
