Blackbirds Ingenuity

We have a number of Blackbirds nesting around the garden etc plus one on a shelf in the garage, another one has returned to the same nest in the shed that I mentioned last year which was built on a large old garden tool hanging up on the wall and this one has young in it. I thought the one that built in the large old greenhouse hadn't returned to her nest which we had been carefull not to move thinking it was maybe too hot in there last year but over the weekend when I was in there sorting some stuff out I discovered her sitting on a new nest, she has built amongst the grape vine branches which are now in full leaf which perhaps offers her some shade, she still flies through the top window which is partly open all the time so will be extra carefull not to disturb her now
