| | Help-gardening uncovered birds nest My neighbours garden is very over grown and when he decided to tackle it today he found a perfectly formed birds nest with a single small blue egg. He's destroyed the bramble that the nest was in and handed the nest to me. On the other side of his fence the bramble grows wild in a small wooded area, I'm thinking the best thing to do is place the nest as close to the original site as possible hidden in the bramble? Any suggestions please? |

| | | Re: Help-gardening uncovered birds nest I can't really see there being much hope for this nest really. It can't do any harm to put it as close as possible to the original location but I somehow doubt that the birds will come back - they are far more likely to abandon this attempt and try again elsewhere.

| | | Re: Help-gardening uncovered birds nest Sounds like a Hedge Sparrow (Dunnock) nest. I would think at this early stage it will abandon and try again. You have got to be careful when gardening at this time of year. At least it never had young. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
