| | | Birdsong for ID I was in a field in north Shropshire just now, standing by the marshy edge of a lake, and I made this recording: YouTube - birdsong Can anyone identify any of the birds calling?
Many thanks! |

| | | Re: Birdsong for ID There seem to be a few there, but the first one with the alternating call sounds like a chiffchaff to me.
Have a listen to this one The RSPB: Chiffchaff |

| | | Re: Birdsong for ID Oh, yes, that chiff chaff's the same as mine. Off to investigate reed warblers now. |

| | | Re: Birdsong for ID Before scrolling down and reading the replies already given, I identified all four of the sounds already mentioned (Chiffchaff, Reed Warbler, Blackbird and plane) but couldn't hear anything else. The Blackbird is actually singing throughout but is drowned out by the rest.

| | | Re: Birdsong for ID Thanks. It was an interesting place; full of toads. I must go back and have a proper look around. |
