| | | Crows with white feathers A little query!
For some time now, I have pondered on the possibility of a crow-magpie hybrid, is it possible? The reason I ask, is that there are lots of crows near where I work and a couple of them have white feathers on their wings, there are also a lot of magpies around there and I wondered if they could cross breed?
Any ideas please?
Many thanks. |

They may just be young birds. I don't think they can interbreed (or at least, I don't think the offspring would be fertile, or even healthy).
Also, I saw one today. It let me get too close, I could probably have grabbed it if I tried. Seemed a bit inexperienced. |

Heres a jackdaw with white feathers, please excuse the quality, I resized it a bit too much to get it on the site. This was taken a few weeks back, in next doors garden..

| | | Re: Crows with white feathers It's pretty common round here to see crows/jackdaws with White feathers. A few years ago there was a half White half brown carrion crow nr newtown Stewart. I seen it a couple of times. It was smart and at distance easily confused as a buzzard. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
