Hopefully without being a smartypants, I do like Crested Tit as it reminds me more of wild Scottish forests.

LTT for me. Would I be right in saying it would be the Uks smallest bird if it wasn't for it's tail? Anyone know why it needs such a long tail? My gave nest also. |

It's got a long tail because it's called a Long Tailed Tit................and it doesn't want to be Britains smallest bird

Goldcrest and Firecrest are Britains smallest birds. They are similar lengths and wingspans to an LTT (without it's tail), but Goldcrest and Firecrest generally weigh less.
(LTT - not a 'Tit' as in Paridae - are Aegithalidae).
Oh....and I think I will go for Coal Tit, it's always nice to get a Coal Tit nest in the boxes in amongst all the Blue and Great, but always nice to see Marsh and Willow too.

I'm sure LLT will win this poll hands down , but I'm voting for the blue tit with it's little blue mask (blue eyed bandit's I call them ) hijacking the feeders for seed and nuts. Long gone are their days of pillaging your milk bottles on a cold winters morning! | | | |
