| | | My timed tetrad today Although I got soaked and only managed an hour before I packed up before the heavens opened, I had a fantastic timed tetrad for the Bird Atlas here on farmland in Leics today. In 1.5 hrs in total, which included the walk from the farm to get to my tetrad, I nabbed 34 spp. Along with robins, blackbirds etc etc I managed to get lapwings, willow warbler, chiff chaff, whitethroat and lesser whitethroat, linnet, yellowhammer, skylark, mistle thrush, red kite, buzzard, tree sparrow, heron, greylag geese and... a mandarin duck (on a lake in the middle of farmland!). I was well chuffed! Anyone else done a TT today? |

Mine was in the suburbs of London, and I managed 21 species.
My favourite result was 39 House Sparrows.
