| | | tawny owl in garden! Last night at about 10'o clock, i was watching TV with my mum and dad when I noticed a movement in the trees at the back. I shot to the window to see a tawny owl perched on one of the leafless branches, the sky was still quite pale so we saw it in silhouette, it was smaller than I expected with a large round head that moved around everywhere. Luckily it seemed to be staying there, so I ran up to my room and watched a little longer, then it just lifted of the perch and drifted round the back and on to a neighbors roof. Blackbirds shot out of all the trees clucking dead loud! It then flew off to the right and I managed to see it's streaky brown plumage from the light of the headlamps.
Sorry for going on a bit, but its my first ever! |

I'll certainly be keeping an eye out for it, I only noticed it because it was on a high branch with the pale sky behind so I wonder if it comes regularly | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
