I once watched a whole mob of them take on a mob of lesser black backed gulls high up in the air. Was fun to watch, and nobody got hurt. I don't know what they were fighting over though. |

| | | Re: Black headed gulls Agree they are handsome birds. I've been to a couple of breeding colonies recently- at Rye Harbour + Minsmere- great to watch + also with the even more attractive Med Gulls. |
