| | | buzzard I live in the midlands outside Birmingham, a small industrial town. I spotted a buzzard a few weeks ago and today spotted it twice. As I came out of school circling over the council estate and then later being mobbed by a crow.
has been around for a couple of weeks now. only seen them near Clent before but appear to be coming closer.

| | | Re: buzzard Buzzards seem to be increasing at a rapid rate. We only started seeing them about 5-6 years ago around my area and we now see them all the time. They are frequently mobbed by Crows but the Buzzards never seem to mind.

| | | Re: buzzard We started with the odd pair, there are now dozens in our area, so there is a good chance of them increasing. Mind you I live in a valley with hills around 2000 feet on one side and high moorland on the other with lots of woodland, so good habitats for them.

| | | Re: buzzard I live only 10 miles from Glasgow and I imagine they live even closer to large cities. There are Peregrine Falcons nesting in Glasgow city centre that probably feed on the pigeons and starlings so it wouldn't surprise me to see them on the outskirts of cities.
