| | | White-rumped Sandpiper at Grafham Water, Cambridgeshire Dropped over to Grafham water today hoping to photograph the reported White-rumped Sandpiper which is a rare North American Visitor to our shores.
I managed quite a few, no thanks to the foggy conditions. It's a shame as if it had been sunny the photos could have been a lot better.
The 2nd photo is both Dunlin and W R Sandpiper. See if you can spot the difference.
Hope you like them. |

If not, and you fancy going, you have to use the Marlow Car park and it is a shortish walk to the right. It has been frequenting the first few bays along that shoreline and has been there for at least a week now. |

I saw that this morning 8:30-8:45. Then went to see the Red Necked Grebe which was also very nice! |

You must have been there when I was there then. I arrived at the car park at 8am and left at 10:30.
Mind you, originally I had been looking at the wrong bird two bays further on and came back to where the sandpiper was about 9ish. Shame I missed you as we could have had a chat. Still I'll see you on the 30th. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
