Merganser/Goosander??
Firstly forgive me if this isnt British, but I think it is a Goosander/Merganser. Im hoping someone may be able to tell me (possibly a female of one of the species)?

Where was this taken?
This could well be a Hooded Merganser female/juvenile cos of the yellow tinged beak and darker back.

The bird is clearly captive as it's pinioned.

It is a Hooded Merganser. The males are very smart birds.

Lol, Sorry all it wasn't meant as a test. But yes you are correct it is technically captive as it is located in Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands in Gloucester. Many thanks all
