| | | Re: Young Blackbird Looking at your photo a youngster of that age should be able to fly (at least well enough to get over a wall), so either it can fly or it's perhaps injured/wings not functioning properly, in which case it's very unlikely to survive anyway. |

It really needs to be examined at a wildlife hospital if you can catch it.
Some people may advise leaving it to nature but if there are any wounds, they will become infected & the bird will die a lingering, painful death. Much better to get it checked out & possibly humanely euthanased if nothing can be done. Hopefully it is something treatable though.

I looks like a bone sticking out or maybe a thorn, anyway it managed to jump from the windowsill and onto bin, then onto the wall, and it surprisingly flew off into a tree, so good luck to it  ... |
