| | | Garden bird list Hi all,
i dont know if this has already been done but i think it would be nice if everyone (who wants to) put a list of the birds that have visited their garden. Just give a quick description of the habitat around you and a list of birds that have visited your garden during the day. I dont work for anyone and im not collecting data, just asking out of interest
What do you think?
Thanks, Mark |

| | | Re: Garden bird list Claire, some nice birds in your list Give it time Cazzie and you should get more visitors.
I live on the edge of town next to a woodland, sort of in the woodland if you include the trees on the street The woodland is mainly beech and turns into upland oak woodland as you go up the valley, then your on the moors.
Over the years i have seen,
Blackbird
Dunnock
Song thrush
Wood pidgeon
Jay
Greenfinch
Goldfinch
Chaffinch
Bullfinch
House sparrow
Great spotted woodpecker
Sparrow hawk
Tawny owl
Nuthatch
Great tit
Coal tit
Blue tit
Long-tailed tit
Wren
Robin
Starling
Collard dove
Magpie
I think that is all of them |

| | | Re: Garden bird list I live in the middle of Eastbourne in a short line of terraced houses, between us we have a fair few trees, bushes and an unkempt garden or two. After two years of regular feeding and a bird bath we only get a few birds..
In winter
1 robin
1 blackbird
up to 5 blue tits
1 thrush
3 wood pigeons
2 dunnocks
1 chiff chaff
3 collared doves
in summer
a pair of robins
a pair of blackbirds
2 pairs of collred doves
a pair of dunnocks
2 pairs of wood pigeons
When we were first here there was only 1 or 2 bird visits a week, I don't know if all the gulls put the little birds off. I came here from a wildflower farm which was bird heaven so its been a bit of a sad change |

Quite a few of those on my list I've only seen once briefly and I guess I only saw them because we have a small table & chairs in our kitchen right infront of the double doors out into the garden. We sit there a lot when we're at home so see a lot of what goes on.
