| | | Mrs Robin I am delighted to let you know that we have a beautiful friendly Mrs Robin in our garden. She has one fledgling. She will take mealy worms from our hands and take them off to her baby. We are sooo honoured that she trusts us enough to take food from our hands.
I am like a kid...because we also have 5-6 baby bunnies running around the lawn...one came up to me yesterday (he was oblivious to my presence), had a sniff around the plant pots and went back to his brothers and sisters. Its great to see em. We are going shopping today so I shall buy some veggie/salady type food in order to "make friends" with em. |

| | | Re: Mrs Robin How lovely for you Christina!
Isn't it nice when our birds and animals trust us enough to allow us to get really close!
Enjoy! |

| | | Re: Mrs Robin It is wonderful Ruth. Unfortunately, after I wrote the above, I went for a wander around the garden, noted a fox poo and then at the other side of the garden, under the willow tree I found the half eaten carcass of one of the baby rabbits. Very upsetting but, as they say, that is nature. |

| | | Re: Mrs Robin Sorry to hear about the baby rabbit, but it's a fact of life. hope you don't get that awful disease up your way- my sister keeps finding the rabbits with it in her garden.
Nice to have the robins. I've been watching mine on the patio feeder. I got special Robin Mix, and he keeps taking out all the dried mealworms first. The blackbird is underneath on the table picking up the overthrows! |

| | | Re: Mrs Robin That's brilliant! My visiting ones now come on the table if I'm sitting outside. Must try the food trail. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
