the female was disturbed yesterday and was off the nest for half an hour. A group of canoeists were messing about beside the nest. It was driving rain so I hope the eggs aren't chilled. Good news is the male had to chase another male off the other day so there are extra birds in the area. This has prompted me to have a meeting to try get more platforms erected in a different area which I think will be suitable. Exciting times.
