| | | Falcon and Owl ID Hi all. These two pics were taken in a Farm in Bossington (Bird of Prey centre).
I think they are both from the UK, the owl I am questioning a bit though
Any ideas welcome in ID'ing them
Thanks |

| | | Re: Falcon and Owl ID Eagle Owl, Bubo bubo - they do occur in the UK but there are questions over whether they are native or not.
The other is a Gyr x Saker I suspect - neither native to the UK.

| | | Re: Falcon and Owl ID The first one is an eagle owl of which there are a few species all very similar,eg iranian, turkmanian etc . Im not sure the second one, but maybe a gyr falcon, someone with more knowledge on falcons will no better. |

| | | Re: Falcon and Owl ID Thanks all. The owl is sorted. So the falcon is a Gyr hybrid with either a Saker or a Peregrine. That gives me something to ponder, many thanks |
