When I was a youngster the bird I always wanted to see was an Avocet.....probably because it was the bird used by the RSPB......as a child I never imagined I would ever see one.
And now they are relatively common in some places around the country.......but I still get a thrill out of seeing them.
These images were taken at RSPB Marshside,Lancs a few weeks ago..    |

Wonderful photo's Ruth, I was also like you and travelled over to Titchwell Marsh, Norfolk, to see them in March this year, I wasn't disappointed. |
