| | | Re: Leeds Red Kite Lovely morning in Leeds today. When I got to work I looked up to admire the cloudless deep blue sky, and saw half a moon, and a solitary Red Kite flying towards Meanwood way. How nice is that then. |

| | | Re: Leeds Red Kite Just to report that i have seen a single Red Kite quartering a field in Ilkley this morning. The furthest in this direction I had seen them before was beside the Burley-in-Wharfedale bypass. Prevailing wind is currently west to east, so it would seem to be a deliberate expedition rather than simply being blown off course.
I do see these beautiful creatures a lot at the sports ground in Adel (and up the road in Bramhope). They will often come down very low indeed and circle over the archery field, apparently just very curious.
