| | | Re: help identify bird of prey Can't really judge the size from the photo, but my gut reaction is that it's a juvenile Hen Harrier which is dark at the base of the underwing + has those rufous brown underparts; to me the jizz is harrier-like. If this is taken on Northumberland moorland then habitat is good too! |

| | | Re: help identify bird of prey Impossible to identify blown up...but the bird appears to be in general flight...the head is not looking down as in a kestrel hovering...there again could be a kestrel in flight. |
