Thanks for all the interesting posts, I'll certainly be keeping my eyes open when I'm out and about. Tried to find out if we'd ever had one reported here before but couldn't find anything.

I've just got back from a rather disappointing walk along the river - too windy, everything's got its head down - the best bird being my first Hobby of the year at Loompit Lake. First thing I do when I get in is check Birdguides to see if I've missed anything  ... and guess what! They're reporting a Hoopoe at Loompit!
I can't believe I missed it! I am well miffed
