| | | Goldcrest Hello all,
I have recently moved house and am delighted to report that I get some lovely visitors to the garden, almost everything to be honest.
I get an almost daily visit from a Goldcrest and on one occassion saw a pair. My question is quite simple, is this a common visitor to the garden or am I lucky to see them.
many thanks.... |

| | | Re: Goldcrest I would class them as common...they love a bit of conifer/pine type foliage...but most certainly always a real treat to see them however often!, i too get them in the garden but still love seeing them.

| | | Re: Goldcrest We have had a pair of goldcrests in our garden for a few years now. Last year they nested at the bottom of the garden and although we rarely saw them, we often hear them. Hubby slowed down the waterfall and since then they (and many other birds) have been coming to the fishpond waterfall for a drink and a bath. I offer them suet with insects in to help them through winter. I hope you get lots of pleasure from your birds for many years to come. |

| | | Re: Goldcrest Although I have stacks of Goldcrests around me ,I only see one in the garden once a month or so.Its always alot more special when something comes into the garden ,though Quinnos,i'd like to see them there almost daily like you do.About twice a year I end up with a Grey Wagtail, which when I get one in the garden it is very exciting. The other thing with Goldcrests is that they dont seem to be troubled by people much, and this usually makes for some great close encounters.
