Red Kite in Cheshire

I spent a wonderful afternoon yesterday at Gauntlet Birds of Prey, Eagle and Vulture Park near Knutsford in Cheshire. During the flying display, a red kite was spotted by the centre staff. It spent around ten minutes flying around having a look at the different birds being flown around the centre.

Has anyone heard of red kite sightings in Cheshire?

I was at work today in antrobus nr northwich and a red kite was flying around very low. It is the first one i have seen. I came on this site looking to see if anyone else had seen them around.

A work colleague of mine saw one near Nantwich in February, so there are some around.

I wasn't aware that any had been reported but as I'm quite close to Antrobus and Northwich will certainly be on the look out now!

last summer I had red kite sightings 4 times in the weaver valley area, no mistakes positive sightings at one point I was no more than 60 or 70 yards away, I can only say 2 miles from Winsford I do not wish to be more precise as I have a hide in the area

How exciting I will be on the lookout now its not far from me in Sandbach.

theres been a few sightings this year round macclesfield, and one over oldham that i know of, they're just incredibly rare at the moment.
though i continue to check every buzzards tail just incase
