Quick look in my birdbook suggest possibly Firecrest. Scarce winter visitor to S-W England. |

I must admit to having to look twice though lately, at the wrens. I have had two in the garden this past week or so, and they have incredibly light stripes. |

sorry for the delay but I do not get a complete song/call it is usually an alarm call the birds are now travelling around with my sparrow circus and the only views are little rumps disappearing into conifer cover |
