Looks like the male has some feather loss or defect on his head and neck, not to sure, what do you guys think, i have seen the other side of his head and its perfect.

Looks like an injury of some sort possibly caused by another dove?

What a shame, Mark!  It does look a dry wound so hopefully it will not be a problem for the Dove! |

Well they seem very happy anyway, they are getting extremely close now, my wife can load up the feeders within 2/3 feet from them,and this evening one of them was cooing away just a few feet from me, all good stuff eh.
