Sorry about the poor quality of photos,but I took these earlier this morning and wonder if anyone can I.D. it for me.
Thought it could be a juvenile sparrowhawk but not so sure now as it seemed larger than that...

Think you may be right squishy,that was my first thought on seeing it,just seemed a bit bigger than ones I have seen....

looks like a sparrowhawk to me as well ellen, no idea of age or sex though. |

i'm pretty sure it's a female, there is a clear white stripe over the eye
