| | | Welcome Visitors Hi
Just thought I'd share these with you - some very welcome visitors to my feeders today
Goldfinches - I've seen a few around, but today there seemed to be quite a little gang (not sure if there were enough for a 'charm' ), so I managed to catch them in action:
These little beauties however seem to be a lot less common this year - so I was really chuffed to see these two Siskins:
First the male:
Then the female:
Sorry about the quality - they were taken through the lounge window so I didn't disturb them too much.
Interesting to see they went for the sunflower hearts - there was also a nyjer feeder there (filled with fresh seeds yesterday), which they totally ignored !
Thanks for looking.

I'm jealous of your Siskins, I had them at the feeders last year but haven't seen a single one this year but I do get around twenty Goldfinches visit regularly so I suppose that makes up for not having Siskins |

I've only seen these two siskins this year Roger - like you, in the past I've had a whole flock, gradually dwindling down to just a couple
Goldies are similar, although I saw four or five in the tree yesterday, and that's the most I've seen together for some time .
