| | | Sedge or reed? I was in a fishing pond near Hull and I heard a bird singing from the reeds. It reminded me of a reed warbler, although it wasn't repetitive. I have looked through the guides and both Sedge and Reed seem to reach Hull in their distribution, but in both cases it says from April. I wish now I had paid more attention to the song. Any ideas what could it be?

At the reserve I visit I often see a Dunnock foraging about in the vegetation and they are singing well lately! |

| | | Re: Sedge or reed? No Wren or Dunnock! But I checked the Reed Bunting song and it was probably it, thank you Ruth Daniel!
