| | First Comma, Brimstone and Dipper! A walk in the Wyre Forest today was most enjoyable in the Spring sunshine! Birds singing and G S Woodpeckers drumming, lovely sounds! The highlights of the walk were 2 Comma and I Brimstone, both being first of the year for me and uplifting to see them! Then shortly after a Dipper, which had avoided me on my last visit here! It was in a part of the stream not very accessible to get a good photo but nevertheless it was lovely to see it through bins! Birds seen were Mallard, Robin, Nuthatch, Wren, Blue, Great and Coal Tits, L T Tits, Grey Wagtail, Song Thrush, Dunnock, Buzzards and a Raven heard and later seen were!
Later a visit to Bewdley and a walk along the riverside where there were plenty of people out enjoying the sunshine! A Kingfisher and 2 Grey Wagtail being the highlights at Bewdley! A fish and chip tea rounded the day of perfectly!
Spot the Dipper!

| | | Re: First Comma, Brimstone and Dipper! Lovely day out Pam and nice shots too. I have the Dippers and Mallards outside my back door but no chance of butterflies, too cold up here yet.

We're hoping for Dippers when we get to Dunsop Bridge,Cumbria in a few weeks.......they nest under the bridge by the side of a tiny cafe where you can watch them fly up and down stream while sipping espresso's......how decadent eh? lol!!!!
Nice Comma pic.....we had a Peacock (butterfly) in our back garden yesterday! |
