Wing flicking Dunnocks

I have noticed that the dunnocks that visit my bird table have started looking at my patio windows and flicking their wings - occasionally flying right up to the windows too

Are they displaying at their reflections? I was a little worried that the window flying ones would damage themselves but on closer inspection they are not hitting the window hard just tapping on it

I would most likely guess that they are displaying at thier own refelections. Ellie. Can't think of any other reason why they should be doing it anyway.

Wing flicking is certainly a part of the display of Dunnocks; so probably displaying to reflection as either courtship or territorial display.

A dunnock displays to its reflection in my car's wing mirror(only one of them!).Have had to resort to putting a bag over it to stop the dunnock from leaving peck marks-and poo on the car
