| | | Found a new place.... In the new forest, Fritham village has a nearby pond and its alive with wild birds, there was a couple who turned up with a bag of peanuts and the place turned into a feeding frenzy, really enjoyed the spectacle.
A few pics.
Camera: G1 and 45-200mm kit lens.

Lovely photos. | I kid you not Roger, i stood in the middle of a swarm of birds, there was so many i missed the shots because i just didn't know which way to turn, they were literally 3/4 ft from me feeding from three posts.

You're right, it is a good place.
The pond is called Eyeworth Pond & has the usual ducks plus Mandarins (I think there are about twelve at the mo) & sometimes Goosander in the winter. A Kingfisher is also a regular there.
The nearby wood (Eyeworth Wood) is ancient pasture woodland & has the usual woodland birds as well as Hawfinches, Firecrest & Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers & also rare fungi & Fallow & Roe deer.
The heath holds Dartford Warblers & Woodlark.
Not a bad place at all. |
